My background

I’m a straight-talking, no-nonsense girl from the Midlands and for as long as I can remember I’ve been inspired by art, design and fashion – I have been dedicated to this since I was at school and being creative was all I ever wanted to do!

In the late 80’s I studied fashion and textile design at Somerset College of Arts & Technology and went on to complete a Bachelor of Art Degree at Winchester School of Art. I embarked on my career in London; then took 2 years out to travel the world, broaden my horizons and experience working around the globe. I’ve spent 25 years building my career as Creative Head of Trend and Colour and Design Director roles for some of the largest and most successful fashion retail groups in the UK.

I live in Putney and still love travelling for work and pleasure; I am the original wanderlust! I am a keen advocate for personal development; healthy eating, living well and keeping fit (even though i am partial to a glass of wine or two!). I also have a ‘not-so-secret’ coat and shoe obsession (the most essential style hero items!). I adore what I do for my clients and light up when I see the effect my work has on their confidence and life.

I am based in London and my work has taken me across the fashion capitals of the world for some of the most influential businesses in fashion and design. For more than 25 years I’ve had a finger on the pulse of fashion and style having worked for several high-profile fashion retail brands; most recently as Creative Design Head for one of the Arcadia brands (the UK’s largest fashion retail group). These businesses have depended on my ability to predict future fashion trends, align product to them, incorporate seasonal change and (most importantly) be appropriate for the customer of the brand I work for. This is no easy task as mistakes are costly when putting in an order for many thousands of garments – it’s my job to get it right. 

My policy has always been the customer is king and this is the experience I pass onto you.
